The Frugal Founder's Guide to MarTech
My general philosophy on marketing technology is the same as my philosophy on kitchen gadgets: if it only does one very specific thing and costs more than my stand mixer, I'm not buying it. Recently, I had the chance to spend an afternoon with the founders in Boston University's Accelerator program to share this philosophy.
Founders with four employees and their uncle on the payroll do not need a Fortune 500 company-sized tech stack. The biggest struggle when you’re building a business from the ground up is consistently connecting with the people who want to talk to you, and there are plenty of no- and low-cost tools to help you get started.
